Miniroos Day 2019
April 6 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Saturday 6th April 2019 10.00am – 12.00pm Pottsville Beach Sports Club (Note: not at the Koala Beach field this year)
PLEASE SEE TIME TABLE BELOW FOR YOUR TEAM’S TIME SLOT
Please ensure you arrive on time! This will ensure the morning flows smoothly and you don’t miss your team’s meeting.
Please do not leave without getting the following things done:
1) MAKE SURE YOUR TEAM SELECTS A COACH AND MANAGER
All teams need to elect a coach and manger ON THE DAY and write it on the team sheet that is located with the gear. You also need to write down a TRAINING DAY AND TIME (this is to try and ensure there is no overcrowding on certain days and times on the fields). Please hand this piece of paper to the person helping out at your tent.
Please note: Wednesdays and Thursdays 5-7pm are already very busy training days with Proskills, Junior Competition and Seniors training. Try to select another day if you can.
All coaches and managers will be required to complete a working with children check and register as a coach/volunteer on playfootball.com.au (please see hand out explaining what to do).
2) ENSURE SOMEONE FROM YOUR TEAM PICKS UP YOUR TEAM’S TRAINING GEAR (USUALLY THE COACH)
Each team will be given enough balls for each player, training bibs and cones. These are to be returned at the end of the season.
3) MAKE SURE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS ARE CORRECT
Check your contact details on the team sheet. If they are not correct your coach/manager will not be able to get in touch with you.
4) PURCHASE YOUR UNIFORM
The uniform is the same as for 2018. You will need to purchase your uniforms if you need replacement items/bigger sizes or are new to the club (shorts $15, shirts $15, socks $8).
PLEASE BRING CASH FOR ANY PURCHASES. We will only have limited change so the correct amount would be really appreciated.
TRAINING AND GAMES
MiniRoos games start Saturday 4th May. This is the first Saturday after the Easter School Holidays. Most teams start training the first week of Term 2. It is up to the coach/manager of each team to get in touch with the team to organise training.
Based on what you write on your team sheet at MiniRoos Day, your team will be allocated a time and area to train each week. A training schedule will be drawn up by the committee and put up on the club house notice board. Please do not use another teams area to train. If you need to change your training time, you will need to contact the committee so a suitable training area can be allocated to you.
